Reading Ours | Exhibition & Conversation Sat 10/26

Reading Ours micro gallery

Join Ranger Therese this Saturday in conversation with artist Robbie Herbst at his Reading Ours backyard gallery space, as they reflect on the recent period of Social Practice art in Los Angeles and its relationship to the city.

Saturday Conversations are in conjunction with Reading Ours exhibition Landfill: Selections from the Social Practice Archive 2011–2014, with ephemera produced by artists Fallen Fruit, Ghana Think Tank, The Llano Del Rio Collective, Los Angeles Urban Rangers, Michael Parker and Alyse Emdur with Audrea Rena Jones and Gregory Gibson, San Francisco Bureau of Urban Secrets, Santiago Sierra, Allison Smith with Southern Exposure, and Brindalyn Webster Chen. The selection of objects includes announcements, offset and xeroxed posters, maps, t-shirts, patches, letters, performance documentation, and booklets. Landfill’s collection was initiated by Elyse Mallouk and Ted Purves, for the purpose of arts research.
