Next Stop: Miami! Portable Ranger Station is on the move

Our Portable Ranger Station is on view in Miami April 6 through September 30, 2018 at the newly renovated Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College. If you're native or new to Miami, stop by and explore the maps, games, drawers, and activites of our mobile interpretive center!

Document and collect your favorite public spaces in a trail register ... lift the flaps on a “who owns the corporate meadows” game ... make a match with the L.A. River "fauna" spinner ... peer through viewfinders to catch a glimpse of L.A.’s elusive public realm. Also, watch our 3-minute VIDEO "Public Access 101: Downtown L.A."

Traveling with Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian National Design Museum's "By the People: Designing a Better America," the Portable Ranger Station and our accompanying video showcase our Public Access 101: Downtown L.A. project and invites users to consider the vital role public spaces play in the creation of cities everywhere. The exhibition delivers a powerful message of how design can create a more just and equitable society for all Americans.
